Information pursuant to Art. 13 and 14 GDPR

1. Controller

The controller responsible for data processing within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:

2. Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA). When you access the website, the hosting provider automatically records information your browser transmits in so-called server log files. This generally includes the IP address, the date and time of access, the page requested, and the browser and operating system used.

This data is processed solely to ensure trouble-free operation and to improve security. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a technically error-free presentation pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. A data processing agreement is in place with Vercel. Vercel is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF); any transfer to the USA is based on the adequacy decision for the DPF (Art. 45 GDPR) and, additionally, on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Log data is deleted after a short period unless it is needed to preserve evidence in the event of an attack.

3. Contact form and contact by email

If you contact us via the contact form or by email, we process the data you provide (name, email address, and the content of your message) in order to handle and respond to your enquiry.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (initiation or performance of a contract) and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The data is deleted once your enquiry has been fully dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

4. Email delivery via Resend

We use the service Resend (Resend, Inc., USA) to deliver the messages sent through the contact form. The data entered in the form is transmitted to and processed by Resend for this purpose. This may involve a transfer to the USA; a data processing agreement is in place with the provider. Resend is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF); the transfer is based on the adequacy decision for the DPF (Art. 45 GDPR) and, additionally, on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in reliable email delivery pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

5. Fonts

This website uses fonts served locally from our own server (self-hosted via Next.js). No data is transmitted to third parties — in particular, none to Google.

6. Cookies and tracking

This website does not set any cookies for tracking or analytics purposes and does not use any web-analytics services. Only your preferred language and colour scheme are stored locally in your browser (localStorage) as a technical necessity; this data never leaves your device.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the following rights: access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and objection to processing (Art. 21). To exercise these rights, an informal message to office@leoritzenthaler.com is sufficient.

Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future.

8. Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.
